Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant
Qinshan nuclear power station is the first 300 thousand KW PWR nuclear power station designed, constructed and operated in China. It is located in Haiyan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang province. By China National Nuclear Corporation 100% holding, Qinshan nuclear power company is responsible for operation and management. Qinshan nuclear power station adopts the currently mature pressurized water reactor in the world. The 3 barrier of fuel cladding, pressure shell and containment shell are adopted in the nuclear island, which can withstand the internal pressure, high temperature and all kinds of natural disasters caused by the extreme accidents. A phase of the project started in 1984 and was completed and put into operation in 1991. The annual generating capacity is 1 billion 700 million kwh. The two phase of the project will extend 2 sets of 600 thousand KW generating units on the site, which has been started in 1996. The three phase of the project, in collaboration with the governments of China and Canada, uses the Canadian heavy water reactor technology to build two 700 thousand KW generating units, which were completed in 2003. In January 12, 2015 17, Qinshan nuclear power plant expansion project Fangjiashan nuclear power engineering No. 2 power generation units. So far, Qinshan nuclear power base in the existing 9 units all put into operation, the total installed capacity reached 6 million 564 thousand kilowatts, the annual power generation of about 50 billion kwh, becoming the number of domestic nuclear power plant, the most abundant and most type of reactor installed the largest nuclear power base.
